0. Braindump
This is just going to be a quick explanation on what Braindump is. Maybe even something like a mini-FAQ(?) even though there are no frequently asked questions because I'm writing these first couple of brain-dumps even before I've published the new website, but I think that people are going to have those questions so I think it kinda counts?
So braindumps are basically just blogs, but writing blogs sounds lame, maybe even hipster-like, so I wanted a new name and came up with "Braindump" cuz I'm just going to dump out what I'm currently thinking.
I'm sure that writing blogs seems a bit odd, especially in 2026 when social media sites like Instagram or Twitter are huge, so instead of writing blogs, why don't I just post my thoughts(/rants) there? Well it's cuz I never *really* liked writing stuff that I had to say out in the public. I just find it weird cuz my posts will be shown to random strangers that do not care about my opinion, so I will just clutter their homepage with my stupid takes and I don't want that. I do however like to state my opinion(s) and chat with people in chat rooms (like Discord or IRC) and forums (like Reddit) and that might seems a bit weird, especially cuz I've said that I don't like sharing my opinion, but I feel like chatting with other people is something completely different than just shouting my opinion into the void that is a social media algorithm and posting a comment on a reddit post takes up a lot less screen space compared to a post and people actively have to seek out the comment section and read my stupid takes there. But if somebody actually wants to hear my unprompted opinions, they'd actively seek them out and i think writing blogs is perfect for that. I also don't really like to rely on 3rd party services like social media websites where my posts/account could get taken down any for any number of reasons (including that a mod doesn't share my opinion (yes that has happened in the past)).
